SR Rishikesh Legends won the Garhwal Cricket League 2026 title

Srinagar: The fifth edition of the Garhwal Cricket League Tournament–2026 was won by SR Rishikesh Legends. In the final match played at Srinagar Garhwal, SR Rishikesh faced Chamoli Royal and defeated them by four wickets to lift the title.

After winning the toss, Chamoli Royal opted to bat first and posted 177 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply, SR Rishikesh Legends delivered an impressive performance, scoring 179 runs in just 17 overs while losing only four wickets, thereby sealing the victory comfortably.

For Chamoli Royal, Purvansh Dhruv scored 53 runs, Abhay Kshetri contributed 41 runs, and Sumit Singh added 38 runs.

Chasing a target of 177 runs, the openers of SR Rishikesh provided a strong start and maintained control throughout the match. For SR Rishikesh, Kamal Singh scored 52 runs, Vijay Bora made 37 runs, and captain Neeraj Rathore remained unbeaten on 55 runs, staying at the crease till the end.

Aryan Kapoor of SR Rishikesh was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ for his outstanding bowling performance. He took four wickets for 23 runs in his four overs.

For his exceptional bowling throughout the tournament, Sumit was declared the ‘Man of the Tournament’, while the ‘Man of the Series’ award was presented to SR Rishikesh Legends’ captain Neeraj Rathore.

After the victory, the captain of SR Rishikesh credited the win to the hard work of the players, along with the support of the coach and team management, and expressed special gratitude to team owner Siddharth Rawat. He said that with the encouragement and backing of Siddharth Rawat, the team entered the field with confidence and achieved this remarkable success.
